Such a great spot for lunch! Loved the lobster roll and scenery! The service was quick and food is fresh. Definitely plan on stopping in next time we are in town.

Line moves fairly quickly and we enjoyed the oysters, fish tacos and fried artichokes. Nice view and oh, they're opened past 5! Service was fine, not one way or another. Parking is sometimes packed but just be patient! Prices are comparable with other popular spots. CHOWDAH - was sorely disappointing. The soup itself felt extra starchy (?) while thin and lacking flavor. I thought every chowder in Bodega Bay would be good and the other spots were great. Would not recommend it here. Everything else was fine.

Yum yum yum!! Went here with a party of four for a late lunch. My husband and I split the clam chowder, crab roll and two fish tacos. While the price was a little high, everything was delicious. My favorite was the crab roll - it was cold (unexpected but so good), and the buttery bread was just delicious. The fish tacos were really tasty too but there was almost too much fish and not enough toppings! The outdoor seating for this place is beautiful and has a lovely overlook of the bay. It's a very nice and unpretentious food spot in the area.

Wanted to add that we went back to the cafe on a different day and tried some breakfast items, the ham and cheese puff and the bacon breakfast burrito! Very good and filling breakfast! The ham and cheese puff was like a big square hot pocket with a light flaky pastry outside and big chunks of ham and melty cheese inside! Yet another reason to stop at The Birds Cafe!

Amazing fish and chips!!! The restaurant was delightfully themed as apart of the towns' special tie to Alfred Hitchcock famous movie- The Birds. Restaurant was clean and had welcoming staff. The location was prefect right off the road and had plenty of parking. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the bay on the deck and loved that it's dog friendly.

First visit and liked it okay. Nice indoor and scenic view outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms (outside). There is the restaurant and a separate coffee/pastry shop. For the restaurant you order at an outside window from a disinterested staff. You are given a pager to notify when to return and pickup your order. Inside seating was in the coffee shop where we were greeted by big smiles and friendly staff. Fish (cod?) and chips as well as fish (cod?) tacos were good enough. The fried prawns were tasty as was the clam chowder. The star of the show however were the onion rings! Not my first choice in the area but I would go back.

Fun fact: Bodega Bay is known for its part in the classic film The Birds . Which you will find everywhere in there decor and in the sky! We enjoyed our lunch here at cafe. The view was beautiful and the weather was perfect. The staff were friendly and the patio setting was delightful.

I stopped by for lunch on a sunny day and this was a home run. The Hitchcock wink just gilds this very pleasant spot. The Birds sits right off the water with multiple levels of scenic, outdoor seating wrapped around the little kitchen where you order and pick up. Pass the single stall bathroom, and you'll find an adjacent building set up as a coffee shop. The menu is simple, but effective. Fish Tacos: Loved them. The fish has a light, crisp batter. They're served with shredded cabbage, fresh pico de gallo, and an avocado sauce on top. Two hearty tacos to an order and so good. Artichoke Fritters: I know this is county fair food, but I loved these. I thought they might be heavy, but they were actually pretty crunchy, frilly, and delicate. They're good with the ranch on the side and a little hot sauce. The portion is honestly giant which is fun. I took my leftovers home and enjoyed them again that night!

Stopped by here for lunch because the reviews were good. Order at the window and you get a little buzzer so feel free to roam around while you wait or just take a seat in the dining area outside! Came here on a sunny day, it wasn't too packed and had a considerable amount of seating choices. I ordered the shrimp tacos and onions rings and my sister got the clam chowder. The tacos were fully packed to the brim with veggies and what not, it was crunchy and delicious. A solid 8/10. I wish they had more sauce inside the taco that stood out more. The clam chowder was a decent sizable meal too! The onion rings were so crunchy and good.
